A great couple of days to start with in Barcelona. The bright light has been fantastic for the drawings we have worked on so far, and really brought out all the character in the locations we have visited.

The gothic architecture is such a striking feature to the cathedral and the cloisters, and provides such dramatic vantage points to draw from. The darkened corridors albeit a touch chilly, are great foreground features to look through, and see the bright gardens and palms in the central courtyard.

When visiting Barcelona its almost compulsory to go to the Picasso museum. It’s a great insight for the students to view the early works and see his incredible draughtsman ship, before he embraced the energy of the modernist art movements.
