Part of a series of 4 etchings.
Again, to celebrate his journey to the South Eastern province of China, Ian Murphy has produced a series of etchings illustrating the fragile, historic water town in Wuzhen.
Just behind the main canal lies the confined sweeping pathway, taking you to the front of the waterside buildings. Ian Murphy has rendered the textured qualities of the wooden structures with the aquatint process, and more importantly, he has captured the dramatic light quality piercing the dimly lit corridor.
