At the request of a number of schools with small sixth forms we are organising a four night five day study visit to Venice from Thursday 8th March – Monday 12th March 2018 for 45 students and staff.
The cost includes flights, Venice transfers, four nights hotel bed and breakfast, insurance, a 72 hour boat pass, admissions to the Guggenheim, Academia and Ca Pesaro, full organization (letters, booking, Health and safety documents, etc.) and tutored drawing sessions at tested locations throughout the city for several hours during the day and evening.
The intensive drawing sessions will be focused on the amazing architecture and water based features throughout Venice and allow you to absorb the unique atmosphere of the ‘Off the beaten track’ places that Ian Murphy knows so well. Everything is carefully planned and the itinerary is well documented for you to use on potential trips with your students in future excursions.
Our itinerary and locations have been used over the last 12 years by Ian and John Childs from Chenderit School who will be the main organiser on the trip. He will share with you his vast experience as organiser of over 70 school study trips and as Art College Director at the school which boasts the excellent Michael Heseltine Gallery with its extensive exhibition programme. John is a past president of NSEAD, ex-chair of the Oxford Art Teachers and a member of the DfE art and design expert group, as well as assistant principal moderator for OCR.
