Before Ian set off on his trip to Hong Kong he gave me a the challenge of finding good locations to work from.  He regularly tells me that he sees stuff that others don’t….. So never one to dodge a challenge I set about locating a good venue.

In late September we ran a teachers ‘Continued Professional Development’ Course held in Lake District working in an awesome location working on Mixed Media Landscapes and Water Movement.  So this gave me a great idea to witness the wonders of leaping Salmon while taking some material of the falls to assist with the Water Movement.  Now I did think that while Ian is away I should get myself on a plane to Canada but alas I had to visit somewhere more local but just as inspiring….

So I headed up near Settle in the Yorkshire Dales and visited Stainforth Force nr Settle.

Stainforce Force is a beautiful small waterfall on the River Ribble situated just west of the village of Stainforth.  The waterfall begins as a series of small cascades followed by a final slightly larger one of approximately 4 feet.

I hope you like the series of photograph images especially the leaping Salmon lol.  Please feel free to comment or download any of the images to use as you feel appropriate.
